It is for this purpose that our enterprise has implemented and successfully tested the technology of casting for polydicyclopentadiene (PDCPD-polymer) and polyurethane (PU) – two-component polymers, allowing to fabricate affordable, high-quality plastic products with an extensive range of applications.

Polyurethane (PU) manufacturing technology by means of reaction injection molding is a long-standing and established means of manufacturing which has never lost its technological topicality. Active RIM-technologies development for produces made from of polyurethane has allowed mastering the production of rigid polymeric forms (structural foam) and elastomeric forms, as well as reinforced composites and structural composites. Such products have found an extensive use in construction, automotive industry, computer and medical equipment production.

RIM-technology implies filling PDCPD or PU components into the tooling under low pressure applied. In the process of pouring PDCPD or polyurethane constituents are being mixed together to form a material which then flows into the tooling. Further occurring is the hardening of the material that provides plastic products with desired physical and mechanical properties.

The absence of high-temperature treatment and high values of applied pressure significantly reduces the cost of finished products as well as overhead costs. Tooling manufactured from aluminum allows minimizing production lead time, fabricating more cost-effective tooling units and providing higher flexibility in the development of pattern equipment and changes that may occur in them.
